Textra SMS was released several years ago and has since gained a numerous army of fans, exceeding several million users worldwide. It is an application for sending SMS and MMS, but it is not just a simple app, it has a large number of various "features" and, in essence, is an excellent replacement for the stock SMS app.

The app is designed in a fresh style. Dialogues can be deleted directly from the screen, important messages can be easily protected from accidental deletion through the corresponding command in the menu. There is a possibility to send a message to multiple selected contacts at once by clicking on the icon of people in the "To-People" or "Favorites" field. By clicking on a contact's icon, you can not only send a message but also make a call. When sending and receiving a message, the smartphone owner hears a sound signal.

For those who want to hide important information from prying eyes, go to the "Protection and Privacy" settings section. There you can set a PIN code.

A large palette of emoticons is loaded into the app: it contains over 800 of them. The most frequently used ones are displayed in the message composition box.

The design in the freshly installed platform looks extremely minimalist: a list of messages with contact files, a button to create a new message, and a button to access the menu. The colors of messages and dialogue windows can be edited to your liking. Vibrations settings can be edited: long, medium, short. Dual SIM card support is available, and iOS support is present.

Starting from version 3.23, dual-sim is supported. Customization and Premium features (for an additional fee) are available. Undesirable phone numbers can be blocked by adding them to the blacklist. In the same way, you can also get rid of spam from websites.
