Wave is an Android application that provides a platform for user interaction on the Internet. Its main feature is that communication happens in "waves" - communities united by a common topic of conversation that participants choose themselves. This means that each topic or new discussion represents a wave. The number of waves is not limited. Wave offers an innovative communication concept that is universal and easy to use. It combines options such as email, messenger, chat, forum, Wikipedia, and social networking. With this application, there is no need to visit specific websites for discussions; you can have any conversation here.

Interface Menu

The first, narrowest part of the interface is divided into 2 blocks - the navigation menu and the contact list. In the navigation menu, you can perform various actions, such as working with the service, searching for waves by topics, selecting folders with waves that can be grouped. The contact list automatically includes all email contacts ending with @gmail.com. The second block displays waves in which the user has participated or can join. However, the most important part is located in the third block, which reflects the content of the selected wave. This is where interesting discussions take place.

The conversation is presented in the form of a hierarchical tree-like structure, similar to a comments page in LiveJournal. However, in Google Wave, message exchange occurs in real-time mode, which means that the interlocutor sees every typed letter.

Discussion could be divided into different message threads, so it is possible to get confused in the conversation. To prevent this from happening, the developers introduced a function of reverse scrolling, which makes it easy to track the sequence of comments appearing in a particular wave. Here, not only communication is possible, but also games, document editing, photo publishing, and video viewing.

Possibilities

The service provides the user with an interface consisting of multiple windows. In the center of one window, waves in which the user is already participating or can join are displayed. By reviewing this wave, you can immediately see the participants represented as a chain of avatars. However, if the number of users is too large, some avatars will not be visible. The right window displays the contents of the selected wave. The conversation in each wave is presented in the form of a hierarchical tree-like structure, similar to forum formats. Each wave has a first message, followed by a discussion among the participants with the function of adding questions and answers.

A participant can:

1. Send instant online messages to other users one-on-one.
2. Directly transmit voice messages without turning on the camera.
3. Simultaneously communicate with 8 community participants.
4. Get acquainted with new community participants, sending invitations to join the group to unfamiliar ones.
5. Exchange files with information among surroundings.

2. Find the desired application.
3. Allow the program to download from unknown sources.
4. Follow the prompts on the mobile phone for downloading and installing the application.
5. If the application icon appears on the screen, the installation is successful, and you can click on the application and start using it.
